Faux Painting doesn't have to be expensive - Especially if you do it yourself. You will only need to come to the studio one time for each class. You will apply all the layers of each finish - after you apply one layer (it will take hours to dry), we will give you that same technique-already dry - so you can move right on to the next layer. This way the class will only last a few hours, instead of days.
Classes at the studio include:
Basic Faux Glazing You will learn proper preperation for your project. We will use different types of glazing products and learn about the benfits of each one. Color mixing, techniques and tools will be reviewed. This is a hands on class, wear paint clothes and be ready to transport your samples home. (just line your trunk with a couple of plastic garbage bags)
Textures and Venetian Plasters We will layer different faux products to achieve textured finishes. Use of tools and techniques will be practiced. We will experiment with different brands of venetian plasters and top coats. This class will prepare you to successfully complete a high end faux finish in your space. This is a hands on class - wear paint clothes and be prepared to transport your samples home.
Furniture Finishes In this class we will work on pieces of moulding to acheive custom finishes that can later be translated to your own pieces of furniture. We will go over proper preperation, and finish coats. This is a hands on class.
Combination of above Classes A little bit of everything. This is a hands on class - wear paint clothes and be prepared to transport your samples home.
